The Clubhouse
What it would be:
Older homeschoolers want to socialize with others their age and want to dive into more detailed projects without being interrupted by younger kids. We’d like to create a drop-off program just for teens/tweens ages 12 and up. Parents optional, but younger siblings not allowed!
What we would offer:
Members could freely use our space and materials: our wide library of books, games, art supplies, and sports equipment; the full kitchen, large outdoor space, and Makerspace; the large tables for tabletop gaming or spreading out detailed projects, plus comfortable lounge spaces. Big Tree facilitators would be on hand to mediate conflicts, ensure a safe and welcoming environment, and connect kids with the materials and resources they need to pursue their goals.

What they could do:
Clubhouse members could pursue solo projects like reading or journaling, model building, research projects, or one-player games. They might collaborate on group projects like tabletop games, outdoor adventures, or science experiments.
You’d likely find a group huddled in intense conversation, whether it’s processing current events, swapping scary tales, or laughing about the latest memes.
Every day would be as unique as the members who drop in and their changing interests!

The Nest
What it would be:
We imagine The Nest as a drop-off parents-morning-out program to welcome our youngest community members. Children up to age 5 would play and in a nurturing world of fun and exploration (while giving you a much-needed break)
What we would offer:
We’ll transform part of our space into a playful, cozy playscape where little ones can explore colorful books, make art and music, build and stack, and engage in imaginative play with facilitators experienced in early childhood learning.
